I propose a fox hunt!

Anyone interested, if so I will give details of the rules.

Get out your compass protractor and map

departing whereabouts unknown between noon and 2 PM
traveling roughly 975 miles approximately 15 hours straight

in a silver VX with Illinois plates

spot me you get bragging rights

spot me and I see you in your VX . Win a prize

Spot me at fuel stop rest area food break or bathroom break and make yourself known as a member here and win the grand prize
prize is to be determined at this point I am sure I can come up with something cool

Is this the '99 with 28.5K miles you mentioned in the other thread? I think you may be underestimating the difficulty of what you just proposed. We don't know exactly when you'll leave, we don't know where you're going, and you live in one of the biggest cities in the country. Maybe we should play "guess where you're going" instead.

I was making a left at the light when I saw a silver vx pull into the parking lot catacorner to me, so with some quick thinking I pulled in and parked in the spot next to her,


and her owner was all smiles and grins.

I'll venture that you're going to New Jersey (either Patterson or Lakewood) with Patterson meeting more of the mileage description than Lakewood which is a bit further depending on where in Chicago you are headed.

This will take you down I-76 to I-70 to I-80 to I-90 and home...

Our fam in the Philadelphia area, Pittsburg, Cleveland, Northern Indiana, and or course Chicago may have a shot if I'm correct.

Another options is that you're headed to Elmsford, NY to pick up that sweet VX from NYVX. That would take you across Northern PA on I-80 as above...make sure you turn off on I-90 or you'll end up in Iowa...haha

I looked at the one in Austin, but the mileage is well over 1000 for driving so I cut them out. However as the crow flies it would be in the running as well...

Someone recognizing buildings in the background of a photo is pretty far away from someone trying to catch a glimpse of a vehicle moving 60+ MPH on a 950 mile route for which the start time is unknown. Not trying to be a buzzkill, just saying it might be more fun for everyone involved to arrange a meet-up somewhere along the way.
