does anyone know if there is a serpentine belt that will work on the vx that will bypass the ac compressor,I don't have the cash or another vehicle at the moment and am trying to come up with a temporary fix before my ac compressor seizes up. thanx

Take a string and wrap it around the pulleys as you want to run your new belt. Measure the string needed to complete the path. Then take that measurement asking with your factory belt to a good auto parts place. Belts are sold by length and groove configuration
Looking at this pic, it looks very possible that you could do as Eric said, & by-pass the AC pump (lower right in the pic) with a shorter belt....
Thanx for the info guy's,I did the measurement and without the ac comp. it is 80 inches exactly,i took the belt off and ran my string but im thinking it will prolly have to be an inch or 2 smaller than 80" to git the proper tension, what do u guy's think?
I searched over at the Planet and found a thread about this very subject with the belt length needed for the 3.2/3.5L and part numbers and whatnot. 80" seems to be correct.

It could be just your compressor clutch bearing that needs replacing and not the compressor. The clutch bearing turns all the time. The compressor just sits there dormant when the A/C is not on and shouldn't make any noise.
I actually had my noisy compressor clutch bearing replaced under warranty way back in '03 at an Isuzu shop. They had the part in stock and replaced it while I waited.

From planet Isuzoo discussion:
"80.25 inches...goodyear #4060802"
and
"The Autozone belt is #802K6, but it is a special order belt. Either way get a 6 rib belt close to 80" and you should be able to save yourself a tow."
I will be getting one of these this week for sure.

I have a JDM 3.2 litre, i just bought a shorter belt for that very reason. Alterastro passed me the details as both of us have knackered the bearing on the AC compressor getting deep in mud. I'll find the details
Speed Thrills, Boredom Kills!!
its a
Contitech Multirib 6 Pack 2020 (made by continental). state that to a motor factors and they shoudl sort you out.
Well with the help of u guy's and my own intelligence I found the correct size belt to bypass the ac compressor,u don't want to go with an 80" or u will have too much slack,I bought a dayco poly rib, 6 rib 0.80 wide, which is our width size by 79.53 long, part # 5060795 from advanced auto parts and it worked perfectly, woo hoo,no more howling ac comp.but I will be replacing the ac comp.next spring when I have the cash but for now I can atleast drive my ride safely and I have a bit more giddy up and go without that extra drag.
