Hi everyone,
After much researching, I've decided to go w/ a Dynomax muffler and tip to replace the rusty stock exhaust. This was based on Rickshaw's, Gussies, and others' recommendations/reviews.
I am still deciding on a Superturbo or the new VT. It doesn't look like anyone has done the VT install yet, and the no-drone benefit seems really nice...
I did have a question regarding fit and configuration since I'm new to this. It looks like there are 2 models for the superturbo that people have recommended. The 17744 which has a 3" inlet/outlet, the 17747 which has a 2.25", and a 17748 w/ a 2.5" opening. I'm getting some conflicting information about which size fits the stock piping in our trucks.
Regardless of the stock size, someone mentioned that going too big would affect torque, so it sounds like the 3" is not a good idea. Between the 2.25 and the 2.5 - which makes the most sense? What would be the easiest to install if that was the most important criteria?
Also there was some conflicting discussions on whether or not the muffler had to have a center to outset configuration vs center to center or outset to outset. What does our stock muffler use?
I appreciate the help!
