Rainbow Falls meet - this weekend 02/05/2011

At least two VX'rs have expressed interest in hitting some trails this weekend, or weekend after that.

Depending on the amount of snow that melts off, or not, I'd like to plan a tentative meeting this weekend at Rainbow Falls. Rainbow Falls has numerous trails and is just north of Woodland Park off highway 67. I was thinking of driving along the trail below and up to moab hill.

I'm not planning on taking anything too serious. I have crappy tires so I'll be taking the easy lines, but I'd love to have a few people up there who might have more capable VX's to learn from.

We could meet prior in Castle Rock or Monument and then head up there.

Jeeps and other off road capable vehicles welcome as well. :P Possibly some target shooting, if it's still legal up there.

my guess is that start on mt. herman would be a good place, its a quick little jaunt up the mountain (and a good warm up), and then fire service roads to woodland park...
