I have done the exact same thing...........but not in my VX. Try doing that and then having your battery terminal come loose somehow and having to reconnect it while water is flowing over top.

The thing that floors me is -how does the ignition sytem and CPU withstand the water and continue to function? It seems that wiring and connectors would be grounding everywhere.
