Post Don't look now...VX values up?

Just had my agent run the Kelly Blue Book valuations on our two excellent condition "99's: 132K---$7150.00., 62K ---$9750.00. They appear to be increasing in value??? Hang on to your hats!

Ah on the suggested retail? On private party I get $6065 for my old 99' in excellent condition with a sliding sun roof, roof rack and oversize offroad tires, plus the normal stuff.

Wonder what a '01 supercharged, 54k miles, pristine condition (minus ABS), garage kept would get me. Heck, I was offered $20k from a private buyer about 2 years ago. I think he was out of his mind, but him and his wife always wanted one

Tis good news in any case.

What's up with the ABS? Disabled on purpose or having issues?

Chances are, if you have a VX, you DON'T have ABS. Not anymore, or you won't eventually, heh. Kinda like your baby teeth falling out. Just how it goes.

bought new in 2002 never had a problem with the ABS and it operates perfectly. I find that finding an out of the way place and a few well place brake slammings keeps the system operating. The same with 4 wheel drive. Since moving out of the Northeast I do not need the 4 wheel drive anymore but still engage it in the driveway and go through the gears a few times to keep it lubed keeps me satisfied the system is operating and will be available when needed

Our two '99's ABS still works great. We do the slam trick quarterly.

IMHO it would all depend on the condition.
It is the oldest year (for USA) and the most common colour, but the mileage is low.
(Mine is same colour, and older LOL).

    Service receipts are a bonus.

Post photos or a detailed description and you will get a more accurate guide.

In my opinion, it sounds like a good deal if it's in good condition. Low mileage often means good condition, but there are folks that can wear out a vehicle in 50k miles. It sounds like the PO took good care of it if he/she kept all service receipts etc.
