    thought on back up light

Ok, so got the Uber cheap fog lights and the first order one was broke and they are sending me another set and don't have to return the broke ones so am thinking about using the extra one as a back up light help. I was looking for somewhere on the back and came up with this placement. not sure if leaving it out or making a pod cover to cover it. here are the place I found easiest without cutting other place to fit it in.
    front
    side
    rear
thoughts, this is just quick look today before dark. will be wiring it though the spoiler and hook into back up wiring.

i would leave it as a spare if one was broken so quickly. a good set of reverse lights provides all the light you need, I have PIAA bulbs in my reverse lights and they are brighter than i will ever need

Just my opinion...I think it looks like @$&! up there. I would try to incorporate it into the cladding or maybe the license plate area. I think you will find it to more usefull mounted lower. Up high it will just blind anyone behind you or shoot over the top of whatever is back there.

I personally don't like it on top. If you really feel that you need it I would mount it behind the half-moon piece of cladding and mod that piece.

I think that the mount would be fairly easy to do given that there is metal behind there and you could use some weather stripping to make it water tight.

If the PIAA bulbs will work for you then that's your best bet in my opinion.

Agreed; looks like anus. Why not take out those semi-worthless lower reflectors and put a set of ancillary backup lights there?

    Gizmo,

I don't think that it looks too bad up there. If you didn't have the roof rack, it would probably look bad up there all by itself though.

What you should be worried about though is getting a ticket (even if it passes inspection). It's completely up to the discretion of the officer in VA to ticket you for equipment violations (tires that stick out too far, no license plate lights, lights too high or aimed improperly, ...).
