Tom...Don't use your VX for a boat anchor. It is more valuable than that.

Mine has enough flotation that I don't think it would work very well as a boat anchor.

My daughter texted me this AM asking for prayer. She said there were tornadoes in her area. She is at Mardi Gras as part of an missions outreach.

Wow I hadn't heard about that yet... shows you how serious we're taking it here. Our house sits at least 15-20 feet above the river (see pic below) so we should be fine. It will be interesting to see what happens in the Northeast though - looks like they're in for much more rain than we are. I think the Weather Channel has us currently slated for only 1-2" over the next 24-48 hours.

View of the river from just behind the house:

We did get significant flooding the first fall we were in the house due to a hurricane. To give you an idea of the magnitude, everything in this picture (besides the trees) was completely underwater. If we were parked in the same position the water would be at least over our hoods, maybe even over our roof tops.

Lower yard that was flooded during the hurricane:

    Thanks for the thoughts everybody!

VT Mav... Glad to know you are on the high ground. Thanks for sharing those pics too. Way cool! Tom, your tires might offer good flotation over snow & sand, but I have it on good authority (OK, maybe not the greatest... it's Riff) that your unsprung weight is HEAVY. Heavy = good anchor, right?

On a side note... Some of you need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills.

Tom was saying Ash needs an anchor to keep his VX from floating away. Neither of them were planning on using the VehiCROSS as an anchor.
