    Questions about engine cooling fan?

    Aloha fellow VX'ers

I've noticed that the fan on my VX doesn't seem to come on at all after shutting her down. It does spin on it's own with the engine on and moves freely back and forth when when the engine is off. Should the VX fan come ON to cool things down even after shut off?

It's been so long since I've heard it come on that I can't remember?

Also, I read numerous posts on the fan clutch going bad, but I'm not over heating and temp gauge stays normal smack dab in the middle. Scan gauge temp usually reads about 180 here in hawaii.

Just curious if the fan should come on even after shutting her down?

    Obvious answer:

The fan should not run if the engine is not running unless you have installed an aftermarket ELECTRIC fan which may or may not be activated by coolant temp depending on the features of the aftermarket fan(s).
