    Fed Ex sucks

Ordered new wheels couple weeks ago and I was all excited to get them, of course. So, on the day they come in, I open up the boxes and what do I find? Two of the four wheels have major lip damage from the boxes being either dropped or thrown. I got them shipped back for replacement free but it still sucks. What is is with these damn shipping companies that destroy every package they get their hands on? And no, these were not cheap knockoff wheels made of inferior alloy. Sorry, just needed to rant.

I believe I'd look more at the wheel company that I would the shipping company. You'd think their packaging would allow for the kind of treatment any and all packages should reasonably be expected to receive during shipment, especially for protection in the area of the faces of the wheels.

Reasonable expectations all around should be the key factor considered though. We as consumers seem to want fast shipment at cheap pricing with zero chance for damage during transit, but as with anything else, we usually end up getting what we pay for.

Sure, it sucks that the damage occurred, but having worked at least with UPS in the past, the employees at shipping companies can only be expected to treat packages so gently while still getting them moved around at the various stages in the time the company allows.

I cant stand Fed Ex. If I see the company I want to buy something from ships with fedex I will pay a bit more from another company that ships ups or hopefully usps. I have had the least problems with usps and its usually much cheaper.

Fedex is the only company here that will not leave packages at the leasing office of my apt complex. Everyone else will leave them there if nobody is home. I had some rear axle bearings and seals shipped from Isuzu via Jerry Lemond and the dumba** fedex driver left them at my door, which is in a breeze way where everyone walks past. Of course they disappeared. Had another set sent and same thing. Finally had a 3rd set shipped to my work address. Jerry was awesome about it and had them all shipped right away even though he was out of town on vacation. The kicker is, everything Isuzu ships is supposed to be signature required.

Trekker, I do understand what your saying, I used to be a shipping/receiving guy many, many moons ago so I know how much the quality of the packaging affects the condition of the item when it arrives. But, when a package arrives looking like it was dropped from the top of a building then dragged behind the truck on the way to my place.... Yeah, I'd say that was on the shipping company.

To a shipping company (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc), the word "FRAGILE" means-- Set-up the Volleyball net!!!

    Fed Ex Sux two

Got home today. Had one of those tried to deliver stickers. Had no name on who sent it. Said would try to deliver it tomorrow (no time) do these idiots think we wait around all day for them like it was cable? As a matter of fact my cable guy is coming tomorrow between 10 and 12 Fed Ex cant narrow it down any more than sometime? Had a message on it to log in to check package details. Had an 800 number hidden on the back among contract sized printing. Guy there had no details. Why do companies tell you to contact them for details when they have no details. Why do they have spots on their forms for info and not require Dougie to fill in the info. If they werent union they couldnt get a job

Well that's an obvious exaggeration. I mean seriously, in all my time with UPS, I only saw that kind of thing happen about 20 or 25 times tops.
