Rancho sale, missed it in NY but....

Is there a reason someone would buy the 9000 series and not the 5000 series, other than adjustable ride comfort?
i couldn't find the sale at NY sears, but i did find the 5000 series on sale for $45 each on tse.com...
my truck has 107,000 on it n i thought a new set of shox would be a good idea... it's starting to hit those NY pot holes pretty hard.
would the 5000 series be a good choice for replacing the stock ones? i don't do any serious off roading, so i don't need the 9000 adjustability....

the 5000 series will give you a nice ride.. not as tight as the stock VX or the 9000 series for handling though. When i dial my 9000s down to about the level of the 5000s (4-5 out of 9) the ride gets smoother, but going over bumps, especially when towing just doesnt feel right, too soft.

i usually ride with my 9000s at 7s or 8s

    $100 on 9000, 50$ on 5000

By the way what is TSM.com, where was the rancho 5000's for that price?
