Pictures of WELDED to frame Rock Rails please...!!!

If anyone has pics showing their rock rails/sliders welded to the frame...

    ..I'd love to see them.

I'm making some up right now...looking for some pointers!!

I know crappy weather makes it difficult for some..
..but if ya can....a pic or two showing where on the frame ya welded them would be awesome.

    I've got my ideas.....just want a second/third/fourth opinion.

    Many thanks

Can't help with welded but look in my gallery for bolt on. Might point you in the right direction. I have more pics if you need them.

    Thanks guys..

Billy...I was looking at doing three mounts to frame.... Have you had any problems with just the two?

What does Stic9 charge for those ones...and do you know if they are available ..NOW!

    Thanks mate

Have had no issues with the two mounts...they are gusseted well. The problem with three mounts is you can't push the rear one back any further or it interferes with the suspension links.
Unfortunately Stric9 is no more. If you are looking for someone to build some for you you might give Dallas at Stinkyfab a call...he does some very nice work and is near you.

    Wrench

    Here ya go BroJo

And you owe me BIG for laying out on the cold (38 deg) hard concrete this morning...

Never mind about all the rust & durt...

As Billy mentioned, the rear mount does make a little contact with the lower link when you stuff a wheel, but not THAT bad.

I have some pics from my Rodeo, it was real similar underneath so thought it might help:

One thing you NEED to be sure to do though is make the mounting plates large enough to spread the load on the frame. The original set of stric9 sliders were built for another local VXer and the first time we went out with them we thought they bent. Upon inspection we found the frame walls had "coke canned"...the latter incarnations were made with larger mount plates and help prevent that.

    Thanks again to you all...

Pretty much got them all drawn up now, all the pics really helped.

    Gonna make 'em next week.

Pics to follow...and I'll price them up as a comparison to others.

These don't look like they offer much protection. probably lighter and cheaper though.

Mine are going to be similar to yours...with some of the Stric9 style bits too.
