Uh Oh Allow me to get my Wyoming on... For the most part, I have only shot that which was to be eaten. ...However, I have blasted apart some prairie dog towns. Not debating either... I apply very little thought to the legs of larger animals that could be broken by excessive prairie dog holes in grazing lands. The natural predators of the prairie have been mostly run off; the black-footed ferret was even believed to be extinct. Prairie dogs though have been left alone to thrive in large and expanding numbers. Ranchers and their friends aim to protect their stock... however... I mainly found it to be fun practice in order to take on big game.

I have a 3/4 curl, big horn sheep hanging in my living room and "the first kill" (antelope antlers) in the coat closet... my dad though has a "lovely room of death"... ok, two rooms.

A Menace skull would be cool but I just couldn't do that to him...

You have to keep varmints and predators in check. I love having animals on walls. I like nature scenes compared to just head mounts. Good job on the ram. I have a couple full curls from Alaska. Best hunt ever been on and best eating..

My dad lucked out in Wyo and was drawn 3 consecutive times for big horn. I'm with you, that was also my greatest hunt and the greatest meat. We had to ride horseback 20 miles in the high country to get to this forgotten area after the mountainside trail washed out years before. It was like fourwheeling Cliffhanger with unpredictable horses and whips! That ram supplied my meaty feasts during the college years and supplied great satisfaction at each meal! Since my dad has so many rams he has hoofs turned into ash trays, desk lamps, and thermometers. Plus we saved the scrotum sacks! LOL

    Boarzhead,

Have you tried mixing both of your occupations?
    Do a carbonfiber dip/wrap on a skull!

Ohhh.. that'd be a cool hood ornament!
    LOL

***EDIT: I just saw the pic in your gallery of the deer skull. SWEET!***

figured I'd add a skull to this thread.....
Our dog brought this home one day a few months ago....looks like a Javelina's lower jaw to us. Must have been out there a long long time, as it was so bleached white. We keep telling her to bring us the rest of it...but she hasn't.
When gergmon (Greg) was here a few weeks ago applying the Showroom New, 2 Javelina started running back and forth around in my neighbors yard, couldn't figure out how to get "out". Kept slamming into the fence in a panic to escape. Greg was able to get a side gate open in their fence, and they finally got out through there.

Have you guys seen that new show on TV Hogs Gone Wild. They film on the Big Island allot. We get them around our house at night so I end up shooting about one a week. My neighbor makes smoked meet out of them, good stuff.

Nice. I love hog meat and hunting them. Hunted them in almost every state that has them and also in Korea. Never been to Hawaii but will. Hence the name boarzhead
