....the adventure BEGINS ANEW! ...2015......
Remember that life is not measured in the breaths you take, but rather in the moments that take your breath away.
1) Is that LDUB pukin?
2) Jo, looks like you mashed the front end of the ORW a tad???? How'd that happen?
3) Who made the official "Stoop" sign? That's awesome.
Bart
We WILL be there next year....
Thought that some of the pics would be cool in tilt shift mode...
Ugh.. withdrawals...
Sent from my "two hands on a keyboard"
Justin,
First, thanks for the call. I specifically didn't answer because I KNEW it was a "I'm in Moab and your not hear" call. (seriously though, I was at the post office with like 8 boxes in my hands).
Is that your Jeep or did you rent one?
How is wheeling slick rock (is it slicker rock) in the rain?
Bart
HAHAHA! JERK! I hope you at least listened to our synchronous message!
I trailered my Jeep down there - much cheaper than renting. It did great and climbed over everything I tried except for Rock Chucker (driver error most likely) and a spot on Steel Bender where I lifted both driver side tires twice. I think Jack was trying to make me roll over.
No matter; it's time to sell it so I can get back to the Blazer! I am so amped to show up with THAT next year... so no excuses, you and Linda better be getting your collective arses to Moab next year!
More Moab pics. These are from our run on Hell's Revenge:
Billy taking the road less traveled.....big surprise.
Gill and Cece heading up
Is that air I see under the front tire?
That's a BIG hot tub
Gill heading into the Car Wash
Bye Gill!
Coming out of the Car Wash
Spooky....
MeowMix (Kat) lifting a wheel....WAY up.
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong, it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair."

More from our run on Fins and Things:
Slickrock isnt bad in the rain. The bad part is the wet sand sticking to your tires between slick rock sections. But if you get on a spot with lots of tire marks (like TOC) it becomes super slick.
--Dave
I was surprised how little the rain affected the slick rock, keep in mind it wasn't a deluge....but like Dave said, it was the wet sand on the tires causing slipping. But after a little burning off, the tires gripped and up you went.
Down....was a little slicker, but not that much.
Even though I'm battling some pretty heavy Post Moab Blah's I figured that it was my turn to post up some pics. Here are some from our "VX Only" run on Seven Mile rim:
MeowMix's very first off-road obstacle.....EVER.

The shocker with a crow bar! Alright, giggity giggity...
Jo is holding the crowbar, I am holding the screwdriver.
Ask forgiveness, not permission.
