LOL, it's the "MARLIN MINI"!!!
Make the top removable and add a cage and it's what should have been.

Is that a diecast model in the photos?
Sweet! But I think I'd still prefer the Beachcomber Concept (based on the Countryman layout):
Not so sure about that tire hanging off the back door. That might diminish your rear vision (and who wants THAT?) Not enough OFFSET!!

not enough rear vision??????...HELL we own VX's...does rear vision get any worse?
hm i didnt really notice the spare tire.. i wonder what kind of hydraulics are in place to hold that puppy up in the air with the spare attached
I think it looks great. Good job by whoever did that. Of course its all show.
I want one just to park it next to the VX. That way women will stop calling the VX "cute". lol
I kinda like it...not for wheeling, but would be fun to rally! I would relocate the spare inside though.

I think this is one of those cars that I'd clamor for them to make, but won't ever buy. I like the countryman a lot, actually, and if I were a millionare with a airplane hangar for a garage, it'd be in there.
...but this concept, I can't help but feel it would need many moreinches of ground clearance--otherwise, if in the market for this, why wouldn't one buy an STI or EVO instead?

besides...how rugged can it be? its Canadian
