It would be great having Cal and Colorado represented! If I can be of any assistance let me know. If you plan on coming down on Friday and need some info on inexspensive hotel or anything else drop me an Email. There are several places within a mile of the meeting area!

    Thumbs up

Okay, VXCAVER and myself did a little scouting trip this weekend and found a great camp spot. It is just off the "road" about 1/4 mile. Plus there is a bathroom (no running water but a place to park your bottom) about 1/4 mile away. We ran a new trail which actually had a mini Moab to our surprise. This is going to be fun! Then on the way out we swung down to "Three Feathers" so as to impress the jeep crowd by taking a nice line up the center (i.e. more difficult)!;eekr; ;Dr; Unfortunately the jeep crowd must have all been in church and only VXCAVER got to view this feat! Here are a few of the pics from the day and what you have to look forward to!
    The Vx can climb!

    I'll have 2 VX's on the rocks!

    Our own little Moab...

    Going down!

    UP...

    ...and over

Three Feathers...the VX went straight up the center

It is an official playground for the VX!

Different trail but close by! This trail will probably be the opening run!!!!
By the way Wetmutt, I took the same route up Three Feathers as that Jeep and Toyo with the lockers!

    That looks like fun!

    Great pics Billy.

I'm really serious about coming out on Sunday. Are you guys going to be taking CB's or FRS radios? We need to work out how, when and where we can meet up on Sunday morn.

Maybe you can PM me with more explicit directions to the trailhead.

Will be using FSR radio's. As far as meeting up with us there are several options. The easiest would be to meet up with us at the camp site. It is pretty easy to get to and find. It will take you a bit of time to get there. Probably will need 1.5 hours to get there from the time you get off the freeway at Grant.
To get there you go east on Grant. you turn north (right) on Tanque Verde. Follow thi straight. It will turn to dirt and becomes Reddington Rd. Follow Reddington Rd. until the 10 mile mark. There is a trail/road that goes to the left with a white sign that that says something Ranch (if you have GPS it is at 32 18'24.8" 110 34'25.4"). About 1/4 mile in on that trail on the right hand side there is a large clearing by a hill....that is the spot. If you need more details let me know. Let me know what time we can expect you.

WAZZUP! Im still here and planning on attending. Between my Azsportbike and TLplanet forums I sometimes forget to look up new info on this forum. :-) I hope we are not meeting up too early. I need my beauty sleep... My big o-tent is more of a tent that can sleep 4-6 people. Sorry; only room for two on this trip. see you guys again in a few days... (wait wait wait!!!!!) I might have to be in a wedding that weekend in chicago. I will find out.

    Alrighteeee!
Only 3 weeks to go. The weather has just started to "cool" off. Yep, thats right its down in the mid 80's now. BRRrrrrr! Should be in the 70's for the trip. Nights will be cold by Tucson standards (low 50's maybe 40's).
Lets start hearing from you if you plan on going so we can add you to the list and get a head count. Its going to be fun!!!!!!!

    Talking 2 Weeks and counting!

Two weeks to go! Weather is looking great. This week has been in the mid to upper 70's and the nights have been in the 50's. We have some cloud cover today blowing in from Cali. Its going to be a good one
So who else can we add to the list
