Yes, its M.O.A.B. in the desert!
    The Date November 15/16 2003
The place Chivo Falls Area East of Tucson

We are going to camp out near Chivo Falls and explore some of the other trails and play on the obstacles in that area.
We will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Sonic parking lot on Grant Rd. just east of I-10 on the 15th. The weather should be cool (be prepared for cold at night). Non VXers are welcome, so bring a friend. So, lets hear from you if you plan on joining the fun!

We could always do a pre-trip recon with those new maps!

We need to find a place to circle the wagons, anyhow.

    ALASKAVX & CPTNMORGAN,
Thanks! I can follow the trails but haven't a clue as to how to figure out the coordinate. If you can assist in that in a lamens kind of way it would be much appreciated!

    VXCAVER,
May have to do that. I was thinking when we first get there to do the Chimney Rock loop trail first then heading out to Chivo. I think a good place to camp, if it is not occupied, would be where we saw those others camped by the water. But I figure we should have a back up just in case.

    VCAMILO,
Not sure if I want to know what the "Big O Tent" is all about!

    The ranks are growing!

On slightly different note... meeting at 7 am??!! How about 9 am? That way Victor doesn't have to get up at 4 am and I can get some beauty sleep too. Just a thought...

    We can set up camp early to assist in your beauty sleep. Besides Victor doesn't have to get up 'til 6:30 the way he drives!;eekr; ;Dr;
(Victor is always welcome to throw his sleeping bag on the living room floor if he needs to, But, you'll have to leave the "Big 'O' Tent" in the VX )

    Sunday only?

    Hey Billy,
What if I can only come on Sunday? Any chance of setting up a meeting place on Sunday AM, for those of us who can't commit to 2 days worth of fun?

    Thumbs up

We could definately do that Zu. I think I have a few guys from work who are only able to do the first day. If anyone else would like to join in on day 2 let us know and we can send someone out for you guys. Zu, its about 40-45 minutes from I-10 to the trail head. I can give you directions to the trail head and we can meet up with you there. Let me know so we can set a time. Would be good to see you and the supercharged beast again!

I'm happy to drive out and meet people at the trail head -- as long as its not 7 am! !

No one should have to do "Three Feathers" the first time without a spotter, anyhow

Scouting camp sites next weekend. Will post some photos of the spots we find. For those wondering, I believe this is state land. An Az. state land use pass will cover you for camping. Those who bought one for the trip to Crown King it is still good (1year from purchase date)! This is back country camping so be sure to bring all that you need!
