Good write-up but I'll limit my comments to that since I'll NEVER install a rear door popper. With the spare mounted on my rear door, it's way to heavy to risk any uncontrolled opening.

I used the "Tone Popper Kit". It was a kit that was sold by Tone Monday. I think others have put together their own kit. Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
Looks like there are lots of kits online. Most should work with my instructions. Just check amperage to make sure the gauge of the wire and the size of the inline fuse is correct.
