2011 Arizona VX dirt and dine...the original VX meet revisited

It has been 9 years since I organized the very first VX get together. That year we had a showing of 6 VX's. A few owners have gone to the dark side and sold there VX but a few of us are still around. Hopefully all that are still around will make this trip and everyone else will join in and make for a BIG showing. The trail we are doing is very tame...slightly tougher than a dirt road, so stock VX's will be fine. Just a little dustier!
As with the original meet we will set out just south of Green Valley on the Bull Springs Road trail. The trail winds its way through the Patigonia mountains...lots of great scenery. We will pass a few small mine operations and the old post office ruins. We will then come out in Patigonia and have lunch at the Velvet Elvis.
After lunch if time permits and everyone is interested we can take a quick side trip out to Kentucky Camp (if you are interested you can actually rent a cabin for the night there).
Some come on you Az (and surrounding area) VXers. Lets make this one a big one!

Im in! Wow! 9 years! I still got the VX. I do remember gas being $1.25 back then. With the $3.50 average now... ahh Who Cares! Im in... hopefully I will replace my emergency breaks, cause I dont have any. I'm still rolling on my stock breaks after 105k miles.

And here's an add-on if anyone is interested. Last summer a friend and I worked to gain access to the Glove Mine (he now owns the claim) which is on Bull Springs Road. This is where we stopped the first time 9 years ago and did all the driving in that "pit" thing. The mine would be a great early stop for snacks, and if anyone wants to see the mine I can arrange it. The mine is gated, and over 300 feet deep. The second level needs to be climbed on a 100' welded steel ladder, but we could see the upper area with no worries. If some want to go deeper then we'd need to work out the logistics. The Glove Mine was a silver/zinc/copper type mine, but it became famous in the 1940's for Wulfenite Crystals. Anyhow, that's just a suggestion to add more excitement to the day. I can provide more info if you want it.
