need pics of how much I should expect to trim with new tires

I was wondering if anyone who has had to trim to fit tires could send me or post a pic of how much I'm looking to trim to fit new tires. Just purchased a set of Sentinel 265/75/r16' from Treadwright. Have to love their prices. The tire is however 31.6 inches so not being lifted I know I'm probably going to have to give the torsion bars a few cranks and do some sawing. Just want to try an precut cleanly before taking in to have tires mounted so not having to do it in the parking lot with a sawzall. Thanks all

There's a boatload of threads on what trimming is required. Of course different tire sizes require different trimming and/or BFH work.

Use one of the tire calculators on the internet to determine the size difference between stock tires and your new ones. (This is my favorite: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp) They give you all the specific numbers so you'll know the exact specs of what you're getting. Then you can search the forum to learn what other owners have encountered with that size tire.

I put that exact same tire size on my VX a couple weeks ago and I have no lift. I had to cut about 3-4 inches of the cladding off the front and remove a bolt on the rear side of the wheel well (side thats against the door) and hammer the metal back and cut some of the cladding there as well. I still get some rubbing when I turn the wheel all the way to the right and go about 10 mph. Probably looking at lifting it soon to eliminate that.
