    Need some wheel help

I am looking to buy some new wheels for my VX. I am not very savvy on what size to get and if I need to worry about size and compatibility. I am looking for a super cheap set of Crager soft 15/16x8" rims or Rock Crawler. Is there anything I need to look out for when putting wheels like these on a VX that hasn't been lifted? Thanks.

Rif raf should be along any moment to advise of a "bolt on perfect" solution.
In the mean time, maybe go update your profile, to show what VX you finally got, as "none yet" isn't cutting it any more...

Use search with "wheel/tire" as your criteria for much more...

    Welcome to the addiction...

I have cragar 15x8 d slot steel rims, you don't need a lift to run them unless you go with bigger tires. I recommend getting the +6 mm offset rims so they don't stick outside the wheel wells too much. I have -12 mm offset and my big tires stick outside the wheel wells a couple inches. I'm having cragar custom make the same rims for me with +13mm offset to pull the tires in a bit. Just something to consider before you buy.

Thanks. I was going to go with BF Goodrich ATs. What is the max tire size I can go with if I go with 15x8 rims?

I have 35x12.50x15 tires on my 15x8 rims but you could probably go bigger...

I'm not sure about a non-lifted VX but there are a lot of threads out there regarding the topic. 30-31x10.5 tires should fit without a lift but I couldn't tell you for sure since I've always had the VX lifted.

On any non-lifted OEM Stock VX, the max O.D. tire that will fit is 32" O.D. Thus, for the BFG - A/T, the size you want is 32x11.50-15. Before you buy; please also check-out www.Tires-Easy.com and enter that size, as there are many options in that specific tire size.

Thanks everyone. I am going to go ahead and order a set of OME 912s and get it lifted.

I am going to hold off on lifting for now based on some of the issues I've heard of others having afterwards.

    for wheels

many like tireerack.com have an app that allows you to see what fits by listing the vehicle. I got mine from tiresavings.com for $68 a piece which was less than I got for the 8 rims in varying condition I sold
