    VX sidesteps

Does anyone know which car sidesteps could easily be adapted on the VX? Tubular would look better I think? Please give me a hint so I can look over here. Cheers!

Talk to member PK. He's got some brackets to mount NERF bars but I'm not sure if he ever located the bars themselves.

These were made by Luverne but I don't know a model #. Anybody know?

These are on VT_Maverick 's truck: Same model in black.

Here's pics from Mav's gallery of the mounting of them:

Here's a close up of the chrome step bars/Nerf bars:

Here's what the brackets look like (one is missing here)

Just an FYI....PK in Tasmania wanted to buy the chrome ones I had.....but it was just too much money to ship them. I even got a quote from one of those bidding type shipping sites...still was in the $300 USD range IIRC, vs FedEx and UPS which were around $500+ USD. Now if money's no object......you can get-R-done.

it's way harder to get parts and people willing to help here in Australia. Frustrating. For a hassle free/cheap solution, i decided to go for the Nerf sigle steps, easy to fit, and my little daughter are the ones that need them anyway, i'll post photos after i receive them and install.

    ...I'm still kicking myself.

I had the Luverne side bars from Tone, and beat the living $#*^ out
    of them at Moab.

So I took them off and built rock rails...
    ...and threw the Luvernes away...

..with the brackets still on them

    What a dumb A.$.$ !

Yikes! I had dibs on these back when I first learned of the wreck. But I've since moved on to Tom4Bren's.

    JAMAS, here's your chance.

Buffy, do they still have brackets? And Tom4Bren, do you NEED the brackets to make life easier as you fabricate your new ones? If "no" to either, then you can skip the rest.

If "yes" to both, I volunteer to fund all shipping between you two so that these can be produced in quantity. All I ask is that other interested buyers please be patient to afford others the opportunity.

Remember, the BARS are easily acquired - there are many models available. The brackets are hard to come by, and this seems like a great opportunity to fix that.

    Cheers,
    -V
