FWIW: One of the big reasons I like (and bought) a VX is the fender shape. It reminds me of my favorite body-shape, the C3 Corvette. Yeah, I ended up buying a C4 generation vette but I added sidepipes and a few other retro things to remind me of that era.
For my "off" days and as a daily driver, I picked the VX. Probably about as fast as the 1980's emission's-stiffled sub-200hp C3 Corvette.
Maybe faster! LOL
OTOH, my neighbor calls it my "muffin-top" car. Because of the mid-drift bulge.
