....the adventure BEGINS ANEW! ...2015......
Remember that life is not measured in the breaths you take, but rather in the moments that take your breath away.
independent of color or year. With 34k miles you should ask in the 10-13K range. I think that as the economy gets better, people will begin buying more new cars again, which will probably hurt the value of good condition used cars in this range.
The VX price range is essentially:
<1000
Katrina damage in LA/TX/MS
1000-2500
Needs engine
3500-4500
Needs Transmission or is rough cosmetically
5000-6500
Good shape cosmetically but needs some mechanical service (waterpump, brakes, etc.)
6500-8000
Good shape, no major service required, high miles (>100K). May need ABS or window fix
9000-10000
Good shape, no service required, medium miles (60-100k). ABS good, windows work well.
10000-13000
Good shape, low miles but not super low miles >20K but <60K
>13000
New VX - <20K miles. Crazy seller on ebay =)

sorry....dragon.....2001..
One thing that may hurt is that there are a TON of Dragons for sale right now...
Really strange...I don't remember seeing this many Dragons for sale at once...where were they 3 years ago when it took me 9 months to find mine.
That being said, if it has ZERO issues (windows, CD player, oil consumption, mechanical, ABS) I would say 11,500 would be the top dollar...just MHO.

Comparing a VX sale to my 1999 Corvette purchase, I'd purchased a 10-yr-old $31k vehicle with 14k miles on it. I paid $14,000 for a vehicle with a somewhat higher demand in a good economy.
Here, you have the suggestion of $11.5k in a worse economy. Since the initial values were about the same and the age is about the same, it's possible to get a bit more. I'd probably start in the $13-13.5k range to see what happens.
After all, you will be looking for someone who REALLY likes the Vehicross and knows there can't be very many "cherry" specimens left out there.
In the case of my Corvette, low-low mile Corvettes are much more common. So, you do have that going for you!!!
Good luck!

Well, there was a dealer in MA last year that had a 2001 Foxfire with only 26,000 miles on it. They were asking $13,995, but there were issues that were not yet resolved. Also, it sat on their lot for a VERY, VERY long time. I would think you could start your asking price at around $12,000-$13,000 as well, baring any issues.
If I were the seller, I would ignore your post w/o additional explanation. With a show-room condition specimen, there would be no "issues".
I also saw a local VX sit for months and months, but it was a 99, had 140k miles and was priced at 8,999
As the father said to the son, "You still have your whole life ahead of you!".... LOL
James,
First of all - Grats on the birth of your baby.
On selling - price will be set by demand. If you are willing to sit on it for a while waiting for the right buyer, then you can ask more. If you need to sell quickly then you'll have to ask a lower price.
Sump'n to consider - if there are any car shows in your area (or even a show-n-shine at your local Dairy Queen on Friday nights), that might be a good way to get someone's juices flowing to lubricate the wallet. After all, people who frequent such events are always on the lookout for rigs that get a lot of attention (& the VX does).

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
I know of a very lengthy checklist, that has a lot of board controversy surrounding it if your serious about selling it!

Since this is a group of enthusiasts we recently put together a pretty detailed checklist, very specific to the VX and covers many issues that have arisen over time since the model is basically 10+ yrs old on average.
Also, detailed pictures pictures pictures are always desired!!
