Wrench Well I finally did it!

ALmost, the dealer sold the VX just I was walking in to buy it myself. lol I talked to the lucky SOB and decided to go with a 1998 Trooper. Its in pretty good shape. A few rock chips in the hood that are though the paint so I may source another hood or Plasticoat it for the cool "black hood" thing everyone is doing. (and pretend its a VX) The question is I believe its the same TOD tranny as the VX, but I dont know 100% and it seems to have a locker in the front dif. Now all I need is some OME 912, heavy shocks, 50x72 roof rack, and a bush bar.

As always, pics or its a LIE!

Looks like I need a new battery tie down from SpiderTrax

Ps sorry about the pics must have had some schmutz on the lens

It was a black with red interior. It was up literally less than a day on Craigslist from the dealer. hahaha I keep an app running on my phone searching for a VX within 750 miles of Phoenix. lol

Someday the precious will be mine!! (but until that I will pretend the Trooper is my VX and at lest I will have spare parts for the VX!!!)

Basically the same TOD, except for the ability to switch to 2WD. And that might account for what you are seeing on the front diff, namely the shift on the fly actuator. VXs don't have that because they are 4WD all the time.
95 Trooper with a buncha stuff nobody here cares about...
