Ah, thanks for the heads up... well I can't wait to see the pics, and I'm pretty sure I'd be wanting to get that e-rod/tranny/t-case swap done in the future.
Yes, its dirty.... but still so pretty!

I hope you guys post some dyno #s before you ship it.
Auto pros,
Just to clarify the pricing a bit...
The amount you posted, is that how much you have spent so far, including labor, R&D, etc?
Could you post a price estimate of how much it could be if a VX owner with the skill and experience to do the project were to attempt it?
When I saw that price range, I immediately felt people's hearts sink.
Thanks!

The cost of the e-rod itself is at least $7500 from what I've found online. Then you have the transmission, t-case, and hardware to get that all hooked up. Fab work is needed as well, to mount the drive train.
So are you guys planning to swap out the vintage 1970s transfer case shift knob?
There is no way they are using the stock CV's on the front wheel drive right? I mean one full throttle acceleration with V8 HP/torque would explode our CV's right?
Will have to wait and see as the photos are put up. I'm excited and I am not a VX'er like you die hards!
