So how many VXs showed up this year? Is it a record?
Peace.

Dave said there were 15 vehicles, not all VXs, at the VX run. A small second group that missed the fins group headed out to Metal Masher...looked like 5-6 vehicles in that group, again not all VXs.

Here's a few pics to keep the wolves at bay. A small group of us went up La Sal Pass this afternoon which is a very easy trail - lots of rocks and bounces but no major obstacles. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the greatest so most of my pics are pretty washed out. Here's a few that were okay plus a couple shots of the VX.
At one of the higher points on the trail...
More less the same view but from the canyon floor level...
Looking back towards where the trail ran...
Lots of mud and dust on day two...
Nothing spectacular I know... what I'm really looking forward to are the pics of Fins and Things that Sue, Jon, and a few others have on their cameras. I'll see if I can persuade them to let me do a data dump maƱana.
Weather looks fine...last year it was cold, rain, and SNOW!
Thanks for the pics Mav...that will give us our "fix" for a short time
The new baby looks great, Ash. I'm jel. Thanks for the pics.

Ok so yesterday was a full day for part of our group. Steve and his co-pilot Joe, Jay, and Gill and I had a late start on our overnight journey of White Rim Trail in Canyonlands. Steve's Trooper had some issues I'm sure he'll post about later, but we started our trip around 3pm instead of 8am. We camped out under a mostly starry sky last night and returned back today. The pics are in the process of uploading and should be up shortly. But all I can say I this was one of my favorite trips of all time EVER!!!

How many miles did you guys cover Cece? I did that trail a few years back but didn't do all of White Rim and we covered about 100 miles. We did the part down to the Colorado, saw the arche, the Schafer switchbacks are awesome and then we came down to Long Canyon back to Moab. Was a long day. That pic with the vehicles along the rim is really cool. Where did you guys camp? I imagine the night sky was amazing
We did the whole White Rim Trail which covers about 90 miles. We started at Schafer switchbacks, went down past the Colorado River, Musselman Arch and Washer Woman Arch, camped at Gooseberry Campground (we had a few Kangaroo Rats as our guests), then continued today through the rest of the trail along the Green River. Excuse me while I go be social at the stoop...It's our last night here.
Oh yeah... MORE PICS!

....the adventure BEGINS ANEW! ...2015......
Remember that life is not measured in the breaths you take, but rather in the moments that take your breath away.
A few more from Fins & Things:
6 of us did TOP OF THE WORLD.....it was one H3!! of a climb and one hard fought battle!
Would be really rough for a stocker....I had a lot of e-brake action goin' on to get up many ledges, and skids, a lift, and preferably some sliders are most helpful and advised! Man was it different than just 2 years ago....way rougher stuff but we ALL made it! YAH!
This trail has beautiful scenery and is well worth it.
Oh....and if you're wonderin'....my front & rear ....um....plastic skids were untouched....the Kilby's underneath....um...not so much!
Dave (Gizmo) was our great trail leader.
