Not quite. I made some last minute Moab "coil spring retainers" with a few hose clamps so the springs wouldn't pop out. The springs would still unseat at the top mount and would make a loud clanking/pinging sounds every time I hit an obstacle.
I was running shortened 919s, longer shocks and no rear sway bar. I shortened the 919s to reduce the ride height after body lifting the VX and the 919s didn't have enough compression/expansion to stay seated on the trails. I have since fixed the problem (fingers-crossed) by running OEM coil springs with a 2" spacer. So far, so good.
