    replacement antennae

well....it seems the rubber molding around the bottom of my roof antennae is shot. I have no knowledge about this at all (beyond how to put a new direct replacement one on)
This thing looks pretty similar to the ones on Fusions and Passats and stuff. I swapped the mast for a shorter Vdub one a while back, to clear the garage screen.
Are bases more or less all interchangeable? Beyond dimensional limitations, is there anything different between radio antennas.
I'd like to get one of those carbon fibre shark fin ones that are BMW units (or replacements for BMW pieces)
**one even has solar powered LEDs in it.....cooool
***glad I caught this before the headliner got wet and stained
    Thanx all

    Thumbs up Roof Antenna Washer

My Washer broke off also. You guys are making a big deal for nothing. If your roof antenna works fine, Just put a Black Rubber Washer underneath the Antenna Mount like I did, Problem Solved!
