    fog lamp install question

PO ran wires from headlights to install aftermarket fog lamps. Those are now removed and my headlights are dim even though I have the brightest bulbs. He also had the ring LEDs running in Audi style under headlights. Those I'm leaving since they look cool and too much trouble to remove. I am installing TWO new sets of fog lamps / driving lights. I had planned to just run all wires into the stock fog lamp wire that's dangling behind my cladding. Or do you think its better to follow the directions and install with switches and/or switches from another Isuzu? Typing from cell phone sorry for typos.

    Lightbulb

Install them switched separately, otherwise, they'll come on as regular clearance markers would.

I have some installed, but one of my LED rings is out now so I'm looking for some replacements.

Here is a shot of mine with just the rings lit:

I have mine wired to the original wiring for the marker lights so that they come on with the first turn of the steering column stalk. I hear, or read, somewhere that you shouldn't wire LED's directly to the 12v system because it will burn them out prematurely. Can any of you electrical geniuses confirm that?

I wired mine per instructions in box and the dang things won't come on. The switch lights up but that's it.

screw with a self tapping screw into a metal bracket. dont ever share a ground with something else. Thats what causes ghosts.

Depends on the grounding screw location, best place to ground under the dash is the brake pedal bracket, (big old honkin', unpainted, ugly chunk-o-steel). That sucker is GROUNDED!!
