    I've got a riddle...

    I'm sitting here in my vehicross and it won't start and it's got a new battery and the starter's not even clicking...

    I drove over some crazy bumpy terrain, drove a few feet and parked. When I returned a few hours later, it won't turn over! It won't even click!

    Its as if I accidentally jarred loose a kill switch or something. All the electronics work, but no start! Like trying to start a car without depressing the brake pedal...

    Speaking of depressing, I have no doubt depressed the **** out of you all.

    If anyone has any thoughts, I'm just sitting in this parking lot waiting on a tow truck...

    Check the connections at the starter and also the connector for the shifter...any loose connection at those points will not allow the VX to start...

    Agree with shifter connectors, but should shifter selector lever be suspect? Sounds like the key turns, which I don't thick could happen if shifter was in gear ...... That's all I gots! Best of luck!

    Loose or corroded battery terminals would allow a small amount of current through (it's still a conductor, just a very high resistance one)...say, enough to light up the dash. But it wouldn't allow the cranking amps through to turn the starter. So that's one possibility.

    But to go that dead that fast I would agree with the fuse and/or interlock switches.

    Was anyone available to try jump starting it? Maybe a light got left on and the battery just got drained during those hours you were gone?

    Any noise or clicking sound around the center console when turning the key? If so, it might be the shifter interlock or a bad starter relay in the engine bay fusebox.

    Try the old trick of tapping on the starter. Or jiggle starter connection wire.
