Did you notice how stiff the suspension was set up on those cars so it could handle the 7+ g's of force. When they land the jump the car just bounces...no suspension movement at all!

Made me laugh! I wish most of my Hot Wheels hadn't suffered unfortunate firecracker accidents during every July of my youth.

I had a 200ft garden back then...wire from my bedroom window to the fence at the bottom.

    Hot wheels/Dinky/matchbox/airfix ..you name it!...
......on a wire, with firecrackers and cotton wool soaked in lighter fluid!!!

    Bottom line......I destroyed 'em all.

If only I knew!...but, had a BLAST doing it.

My favorite was unwrapping Black Cat firecrackers, filling the interior of my Hotwheels/Ertyl/Matchbox/Dinkys with "gunpowder" & igniting them so they burned.

    Fire, fire, FIRE!

Thankfully I grew out of that, didn't become some crazy arsonist and finally bought a VX becoming semi-useful member of society. YAY ME!!!

(Never could make myself to destroy some of the greats like the Jag E-Type, etc, so I guess there was always hope.)
