    hood scoop

i know it has been discussed on here before..some like it and some dont.
i find i like(on almost any car)hood contour(like the crossfire)or a hood scoop..functional or non..i just seem to make the car more interesting instead of a flat hood..something to look at.
so here is what i did

i know some of you will be sicken by it but i am posting for those members who want one but just dont know what kind/style...and cant photoshop..like me
    cheers

Looks really nice! I guess you painted it? Or is it CF or fiberglass?

Can't leave you without one criticism though... ditch the grill insert. Ron had some cool insert designs but I never cared for that particular one myself.

    Now that looks GOOD...
To my eye, perfect size/shape etc.

What/where does the scoop come from?

    REALLY nice job

How did you finish out the back side?

Is it just closed off and flat?

Old style cowl induction opening in the back might be cool.

    Thanks and looks great!

    Nice work vxfocus.

I remember how difficult it was when I built my hood insert with a reverse scoop. You did a great job with the fiberglass/bodyfill and the paint.

I normally do not like hood scoops on the VX but this is the best hood scoop I have seen on a VX. But yeah that grille insert is um, well totally out of place in my opinion. I tried many different grill options, until coming to the conclusion that the stock VX grille is really perfect for the car :-) Nice hood scoop though, great professional looking job!

Agree. I have yet to see a grill insert that looks good. The stock grill is perfecto. Don't mess with it I say. I'm not a fan of hood scoops either, but this one is not too bad. I just feel that the VX does not need anything added. It is already one of the most unique vehicles of ALL TIME.
