    A reliable source for parts.

    Hey guys!

I'm looking for a website or somewhere where they sell parts for the VX.

I just replaced my brake-pads after hearing a bad grinding noise, I found that one pad was worn to its bare metal and all the other 3 were in good shape.
I am curious about the wheel bearings, what should I listen for or test to see if they need replacing as well?

I know that one or more of my brake discs may be warped. I get that braking where it brakes harder and softer. My ABS light is on as well.

Lastly, there is a clicking noise coming from the front right wheel (I think). I'll probably remember the part name if I wasn't so tired at the moment but its something to do with locking in 4WD.

Thanks for all the input guys!

(I've been to http://www.autopartswarehouse.com but i'm also looking for other sites, perhaps someone might have a better one in mind.)

Use the forum's search function to locate "slotted rotors". Those with the OEM pads seem to be the most highly recommended.

The clicking noise from the front wheel sounds like a CV joint. Look under there & see if any of the boots are torn. If so, again the search function will give you lotsa reading on replacing the CVs.

R1 concepts does all the brake stuff and sounds like you either have a CV axle or a wheel hub going out.

in case you need to know what a CV boot looks like.
    They're the accordian looking things.
Like Tom said, the clicking may be coming from the CV joint which is inside the boot.

For NEW parts, VERY FEW places (like autopartswarehouse) carry anything for it.
Official Isuzu sites have parts, and there's a great parts guy many of us use at a former Isuzu dealership in Missouri called St. Charles Isuzu. He's been helping VXers with parts for many years and offers Free Shipping.
You can call him about availability. He knows the VX forward and backwards too.

The dealership's parts website has the same prices that Merlin quotes.
The site has all the schematics too, which is helpful.
