I normally don't watch it (the Brit version is soooooooo much better) but they were featuring Brad Lovells wicked Ford Ranger ultra4 rig. Brad (as "backwoods stig") raced a kayaker in Colorado.

What leaves me cold about our very own redneck version of Top Gear is that EVERYTHING has already been done (much better I might add) by Jeremy, Richard and James (Captain Slow) across the pond...

I toatally agree. I never watch the US version. Whatched tonight only because of the appearance of the Lovell rig....had to sit through 40 minutes of dribble for it.
No where near as good as UK. My problem with US reality is the need to label what the actors are. The Driver, The Expert, The wrecker. Also why have a driver as a host and a Stig? Although the race car driver is the better of the 3 hosts but what competition is fair when one driver is so much better than the others?

the hosts on the american version have no chemistry together like the ones in uk - i think ive watched every single episode of the british version - chellenges and cars are better in the uk version as well - but that truck last night was friggin wicked
tried to watch one car too far thought i would love it but i cannot watch it for some reason
also counting cars and fast n loud are cool shows - the count would totally buy a vehicross and trick it out

Yup, their UK counterparts are funny and they do have a great chemistry/energy together, it doesn't seem nearly so contrived. Can't get into "Car Too Far", speaking of contrived!! I like Danny Koker ("The Count"), he seems like a guy I would get along with just fine...
At least they haven't copied the lame "star in a reasonably priced car." But, yeah, everythings been done, and the results are predictable. That being said, it's more fun than "The Car Show" ever was!

Ya gotta admit, "Star In A Reasonably Priced Car" is original... I'm somehow not familiar with "The Car Show".
OMG, Adam Carolla, you're right; I'm not missing much! Thanks for the link...
