You can just let it die out on it's own ... or send Moncha a PM with the URL for the thread requesting it be deleted.
If there is another way, I'm clueless.

Oh heck, deleting posts is easy as long as it's your post. (I've edited myself allot lately!) Find your post you want to delete and click on the 'edit' button in the lower right corner. The post is shown then with a 'delete' button in the lower right of the window. Click on it and another window opens with more options. In the lower left corner you'll see a 'delete message' button, click on it and then click on the'delete this message' button in the lower right corner. There's a line for a 'reason for deletion' and you can either give one or just leave it blank. Post is deleted! Now, if only there was a way to delete other peoples posts...

I must be blind but I could not find the delete button. I guess if you initiated a post and there are other posts, then you cannot delete such original post.
I will refer to the adminsitrator to provide some guidance.

Yah, I think that just deletes the post. I don't think that you have the option to delete threads (even if you started it).
You are correct sir, I think only Moncha can delete a thread...
