    I'm Baaack!

    Been a few years since I've posted here. I moved from Santa Cruz, Ca to Kona, Hawaii a few months ago and I'm loving it here. I took a few snaps.
    (I won't mention how the Republicans got reamed this last election.)
    Aloha!

    The first two pics look to be in Waipio Valley...

    Nice road yah?

    And sunset from the dry side...drool.

    Haven't set foot on the B-I since 93, but still have a few freindlies there...

    for the reminder of how much I miss that place..

    Dub,
    On point as usual. That was Waipio Valley, I love it down there. That road is burly but they have made some improvements since the mid nineties, which was the last time I lived here as well.
    I went up and down that crazy steep road in pouring rain too..the VX handles Hawaii like a champ.
    I really love living here, my pad is 500 ft from the ocean and close to town.

    The alarm manual used to be in the Downloads section, but the link has been broken for a while. (Ha ha, the manual calls it a "buzzer"!)

    GET INTO PROGRAMMING MODE
    1) Sit in driver's seat with all doors closed

    2) Press & release remote control top button to lock the doors, then once again to unlock the driver's door only.

    3) Open the driver's door only

    4) Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to ON (not ACC) 5 times within a 10 second period.
    (LOCK --> ON --> OFF --> ON --> OFF --> ON --> OFF --> ON --> OFF --> ON)
    * The "buzzer" chirps once.
    * The marker lights & parking lights flash once.
    * The status indicator LED will turn on for 30 seconds.

    Within the 30 seconds you must select the mode:

    BUZZER OFF
    A) Close the driver's door
    B) Turn the ignition switch to "OFF"
    * The "buzzer" chirps once.
    * The marker lights & parking lights flash once.

    Change your mind later?

    BUZZER ON

    A) Close the driver's door, then open and close it again.
    B) Turn the ignition switch to "OFF"
    * The "buzzer" chirps twice.
    * The marker lights & parking lights flash twice.

    Great pics! It must be just awful to live in Hawaii.

    Here's my pic for highest VX.

    How high up is Mauna Kea?

    WASUP WASABI !!! I'm the guy you talked to in front of the Kona Inn one day. I'm going up Mauna Kea this Saturday to find some snow with the family Last time I took my VX up there It ran a little worm to the ranger station (9000 ft) but cooled down from there to the top. Funny that we actually go looking for snow here in Hawaii
