I agree. Very nice work. Since I'd already bought a set of used knobs from you (and haven't lost the rack flaps), I don't currently have a need. But, I'd certainly choose this option if necessary!

Didn't see it mentioned, but I hope you two will consider replacement rail covers and think you'd have two options. 1) replicate the stock part 2) create a version with cutout to install roof racks.

The extra durability part is what sounds best! Old plastic stuff just gets brittle with age and can't cut it forever.

    Nice work!

Gregg those knobs were BRAND NEW In BAG...NOT used.
And Jason and I didn't know each other or even communicated back in August when you bought them.

Yes, we're looking at towers and rail caps for the future.

Hm, all my flaps and knobs are intact so I'm good there (knock on wood). However, if he is going to potentially tackle the towers, how difficult would it be to make them shorter? I'd really be interested in shortened towers and two sets of rail covers (cut and un).

...but think how cool it would look to have Astral color knobs on the spare tire cover...uhhuh....you'd be the coolest dude around! And if you're the coolest dude around, if you lost a single flap, think how that would affect your image.....you better get some back ups NOW!!

Re the question on shortening the towers...he's not set up to handle custom orders/variations like this.

Sorry, brain fart. You are correct. (Where did I put those anyway...????)

Kat, my point was only to say why I didn't have a current need for the new product(s)...while contributing compliments and a suggestion. I should have said "Great job...have you considered rail caps?"

    Short and sweet.

    Kat, you are AWESOME!
I will organise marketing among Russian VX owners, I know they are in huge demand, and will come up with a bulk order before X-Mas!!

p.s. Would be really good to see the pictures of colored versions of the flaps, including mounted on the roof-rack!
