Warn 8000i or 9000i

Just curious what anyone has to say about these 2 winches. I just bought the front receiver and am wondering which winch to go with. The 9000i is of course rated at 9000lbs, weighs 85lbs, and has a 125' line, compared to the 8000i that is rated at 8000lbs, weighs 74lbs, and has 100' of line. I guess I'm asking if the 8000lb winch is more than enough to get me out of being very very stuck, or if I should go for the 9000? The price is not very different and I know the 25' extra would really come in handy, but 10lbs lighter might be nice too. I don't know which one to go for, any insight is appreciated.

How about the 6000 at 50 lbs. and only 50 ft of cable.

I'm pretty sure I will need the 100', the 125 might be pushing it but can't hurt. Do you think the 6000 is powerful enough? It just seems that if I buried the VX in mud up to the hood that there is more than 2000lbs of dirt and water to pull it through. Not sure thats why I'm asking.

I am such a positive thinker, I just assume I will be pulling someone else out of a bog.
More is always better if you step in it, but:
1-I don't think it will work under water.
2-You better have put that 75 pounder on before you sink. Doing it after will be hard.
3- If you do plug in the winch first, Think of the weight and poor take off angle you will have.
Everything is a trade off.
Swordy's internal mount is very practical for having it at the ready.

BTW, Andy and Deby, how are you making out in the fires near Upland? Give us a heads up if you need a van to haul things at risk.

Well I know it could be a real pain to get it on there when I get stuck but most likely either the front or back hitch will be accessable (I will also have some chest-waiters too). I would love to have Swordys setup but he really did some work to get that sucker to fit! This seems easier and more practical as I can winch from the front or back.
