Need help with Manual Locking Hub Install

Okay, I know Locking Hubs should be an easy install but it seems something is up with Axel length or something... Let me try and make this clear..

There is to much thread for the lock washer that adjusts the bearings so this is making the back of the locking hub not sit flush...

After looking at these photos on this thread:

    http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=11324

It appears either my bearings are really worn out and that's why i have so much more thread... or something inside the hub is missing..

Hubs spin nice and are adjusted correctly.

I can tell you with stock hub flange there is a lot of axle play between snap ring.. about 1 inch. Most photos i've seen is a lot less than that..
Can anyone help with this? Thank you for all input

Which hubs are those? Asin's, superwinch...?
Try grabbing the axle shaft from the rear and pulling it back. The shafts have some movement (the inner joint balls move in and out to account for length differences as the suspension cycles up and down)

Ya tried that.. but the thing that sticks too far out are the threads that hold the hub nut on.

The WARN hubs I installed went right on. The only 'issue' I had was that the locking hubs required a different clip ring & I had to pick up some new ones from Fastenal. My fault though, Travelin2 sent me the right clip rings but I didn't find them till I was done.

If the OEM slug fit in there properly, then I'm confused as to why the hubs won't fit.
