Bookmarked My Aluminum Front Skid Plate

Some people have been asking about my front skid plate, so I thought I'd do a quick thread on it.

So, I got rid of all my old stand up jet skis, and had a few parts left over.
The skid plate is actually 3 aluminum ride plates from Kawasaki 650sx jet skis, cut, shaped, bolted together and mounted to the front of the cladding. But, if you remember my previous attempts, I had removed/cut the front cladding area where the VX02 skid plate would line up. So, this new one pulls everything together perfectly. I also added the stock intake ports back behind the openings.
I surfaced them using a handheld belt sander.

Here's what each of the ride plates look like un-molested:

Here's what my new skid plate looks like:

    Good call!
I hadn't thought of that... but that's kinda the look I'm going for with the whole VX. Stealth fighter meets 4x4... so yeah, Mech Warrior-esque.

Good to hear from you Don!
Been a long time... since Call of Duty days I think...

Did you think about painting it black or matte black?

Was actually thinking about a dark silver/pewter color. I'm liking the matte black idea though.

That's BA man looks good. I've been thinking about something similar, but this is pretty unique.

Is this for cosmetic purposes or for off-road purposes?
    Peace.

It's a much stronger alternative to the fiberglass skid plates ( solid aluminum plates) but still just for looks.
