Thread: Axle Assemblies....Anyone heard of SURTRACK?

    Jo, and anyone else who is interested, I dragged the driver side axle assembly out and put a tape measure to it.

    Fully extended the axle assembly is 42.5 inches long.


    Fully compressed the axle assembly is 41 inches long.


    To be fully accurate, both lengths are probably an eighth-inch, or less, short. So add a short eighth-inch to the above dimensions to get the exact lengths.

    Jo, I know that others have done this, but if you need me to tear into the axle to measure things (balls, cages, etc.) let me know. I've been wanting to take the axle apart anyway so I can practice on it before I take mine apart to replace all of the CV boots (probably after Moab).

    I've got all the measurments I need to do a comparison...
