Nope, but I should be...I reeeaally believe in the stuff and have for damn-near forty years. (Discovered it when I was fifteen, workin' on cars and motorcycles!) I wouldn't be caught dead without it in my kit-bag...

It may be an Urban Legend but I was told long ago that WD-40 was developed by NASA (or some company did it for NASA). It was for some kind of lubricant for the extreme cold of space. Initially the only lubricant that would work was some kind of fish oil. WD-40 was developed as a synthetic alternative because the shelf life (and probably smell) of the natural stuff was so bad.

Hmmmm, did the WD40 on the tire, good and bad. Bad, tire did not get any more black once it dried, good, it made the lettering WHITE. Not what I was expecting at all, but it made it white with virtually no effort.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Interesting, Chris (it is Chris, right?). What's the plan for the door jambs & underhood? I understand why you were considering the gray cladding as that's a color combo I was considering for my Army truck. I dig the Isuzu badge on the hood. Otherwise, I think the whole thing will look much better with some dirt on it!

    P.S. Trivia: WD-40 = Water Displacement - 40th Formula.

The tan is a perfect color match for rustoleum tan bedliner. Door jams will be painted to match. I did bottom of hood in black a few years ago. The rest i wil do in tan at my leisure. (Code for lazy)
    Good info on wd40

That is a good price if they are going to do all of the removal and install. My guy (Anthony) will do black basic LineX for 600 if you drop it off. If you want LineX extra (any color, UV protectant) it was 750-800.
I don't know how to define specialist. All LineX dealers are franchise owners. They have very strict rules they have to follow and you certainly cannot do it yourself. It takes very special equipment, a spray gun with more than one nozzle, heated to 160 degrees IIRC, sprays out at 2500lbs of pressure. LineX is actually a two part material, hardens within seconds of leaving the nozzle.

As for the interior, I can get some pics I have no carpet left inside, herculined the entire horizontals of the interior. Multiple coats. Basically, I used several of the medium sized cans they offer. No more interior rust, no more worrying about mud stains!

I still need to get some LEDs to do the gage face swap.
