My dad wants to go off-roading over the long weekend. Anyone up for making it a mini meet? Also, any good trail suggestions other than Spring Creek (since we already did...most...of it)?
I'm thinking the 5th but am flexible

Did Middle St. Vrain / Coney Flats today. Fun but really bumpy trail. I wouldnt recommend it unless you have 3" lift and 32's at least. There was a stock xterra and some stock tacomas that were having a difficult time of it.

+1, this is a fun one. Arcobarco & I did those trails last August.
I would like to get out with you Tom (& Dave) to hit a trail. I'll be out of town over the fourth of July weekend. Maybe we can plan something for later in July/August.
I REALLY want to do Spring Creek, Iron Chest, & Holy Cross City this summer.
Miller Rock is also fun & pretty close to denver.
Ok so I went for an easy drive up Cumberland Gulch, off of Fall River Road. Nothing technical, but you do drive up part of it with water flowing down it.
Let's plan a real trail run soon! I'm up for anything you guys think my VX can handle
Mike and I are running Bill Moore Lake and Mill Creek (Emprie loop) tomorrow if anyone is interested.
I did not see this thread until tonight; I was out of town for 30th anniversary show and gathering for my other car in Indy.
I woke up this morning and had an itch to get my VX on a trail so we left around 11am and went to Devils Canyon for some off-roading. It is cool but we only did about a third of it, I would like to go back and drive the rest of the trails. We could have done all the trails but we took a wrong turn and drove up what looked like the trail but it soon turned into a boulder field and then dead-ended because of giant trees across the trail. So I had to get my VX turned around, this was not easy, and I scratched up my VX on tree branches. Then we had to drive back to the main trail to resume the journey.
I have the Guide to Colorado Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails guide so we have many good trails to explore in the future.
The three closest to Denver that are moderate not difficult or extreme are:
Devil's Canyon, Cascade Creek and Saxon Mountain.

When can everyone meet and do a trail? I can go next Sunday the 14th or maybe the next weekend if that is too soon.

Sat 13th or Sun 21st would work for me in the near term. August is mostly open at the moment. We can start an event if we get enough interest.
I'm out those 2 weekends, I will be on call. Almost skipped today until I remembered about going on call this week. Got Erwin (spacecadetzoom) on the trail today. So much fun.
