Terrible loss in Prescott area fire

What a tragedy yesterday here near Prescott when 19 highly trained "hot shots" fighting the Yarnell fire, died when the winds changed suddenly and engulfed them and they all perished.

Thankfully it's about 45 miles away and we're all fine here.

All our thoughts are with their family and loved ones.
    They truly gave all.

This is an old picture, it's not green now, so we have lots of brush to keep an eye on.
We're the white house in center.

    .
Have a large defensible space in front and one side of the house here with this gravel and then a cement apron, but only about 6' cement path on one side. So we've trimmed the brush way back in that area.

We share the tragedy, and a deep sense of loss here on the East Coast, as well. These people were young heroes, cut down in their prime. Our sincere condolences to the greater Phoenix community.

Very bad, these fires, we are lit up here in Northern NV right now also. The skies have that lovely brown tinge...
