Rocky Road rock sliders g/b....any interest?

Anyone have an interest? I want to pick up a set, but figured I'd see if anyone else does as well before I talk to Matt and see if we can get a group buy going on.

Just bought and installed mine a week ago! Bummer! I highly recommend welding them in!! I used a transmission jack to mount them tight to frame and drilled the 5 bolt self taping bolts in on each side and then had my welder finish the install by spot welding the sucker in!!! Good luck!!

the ones i had on mine were similar to this, but they annoyed me cuz I couldn't use them as a step to get on the car s I ended up modifying to come out a bit more so I can step on them to get on the car

Personally I'd recommend the Super Sliders for just the reason 44ficus44 mentioned - it's nice to have the step. Truth in advertising though, if you have big feet like I do the clearance between the step and the body makes it difficult to fit anything but your toes through. On the other hand they're just the right distance off the body to make a nice step down to keep your pant leg from getting dirty when you're getting out.

Not if you're a shorter legged person - Mav you're at least 6' tall with really long legs - - I'm 5'5" and I nail the back of my pants every single time I get out.
    BUT they're fantastic and I wouldn't change a thing!
    They're a life-saver for my VX!

Since they're made to order, I wonder if I can get some super sliders and have them bring them out another inch or so.....

My legs hit them every time as well. I ended up cutting the mounts off of mine and welding 2x2 1/4" wall tubing to the main tube and 1/4" plate for the mounts and welding them to the frame. The ones for the rodeo dont have the bolts into the bottom of the frame so every time the frame/body flexes it pulls the bolts out. Eventually ripped the rocker pinch seam where its mounted to that as well.

BTW, I dont recommend using a hi-lift on super sliders without a tube adapter.

I can work up a price for my custom rails if 3 people or more are interested.

They are bullet proof..Weld to frame....
...have double protection, both under body seam AND rocker.

    Not suitable as 'steps"

I'd love to get one of these made up someday! That kickout is perfect for a step while keeping the rest tucked.

These were made for the FJ Cruiser, I found this on the sin city wicked fjs forums. I see their rigs all the time as a few live down the street from me.

Only thing is this (imho) stupid trademark issue on a design that has been used long before the trademark was issued. To top it off, it isn't even a patent!?
