OEM 18s won't fit on DRV FR hub - WTH?

Wanted to swap back over to my OEM 18s with 285/60-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Take it to Costco today (no other place else open).

They couldn't get any of my 5 OEM rims to fit on the DRIVER FRONT hub.

Tried a 2nd Borbet rim, it fit on fine.

Guy filed down the hub and the inside of the wheel a bit, but still no bueno. Said something just didn't "feel" right when he rubbed his fingers around it. He felt it might not be perfectly round, but couldn't tell.

    WTH?
Remember this is the same corner with the used lower control arm (from a '97 Rodeo) and a brand new lower ball joint - - could that possibly have ANYTHING to do with it?

    • Could the previous guy who did the installation of the two parts somehow torqued something or tweeked something?
    • Could the mishap in Moab that damaged the LCA cause some damage to the hub?

    Pfffttt!
Take it to the right people !!

Mech said there was a burr.
Something about when wheel was removed it must have kind of fell off/down a bit and hit the star shaped thing with 6 bolts, somehow created a burr.

He filed it down, presto, wheel fits fine.
Borbets much have slightly larger bore as they fit.

All better now! Happy girl again!
Doing another trail tomorrow with Brandon and some others up to FlagStaff. I'm ready!

What a relief, that is, to find something simple. I like how those stories end.

It was an iron burr on the side.

If a little burr was keeping them from putting the wheel on it sounds like those guys need to hit the gym!
