    Wheel Q

Thinking of new wheels for my rig. Would 17x8 with +35 work. Also thinking of increasing tire size a tad. Maybe up to around 30.5x10.5. Any suggestions? Besides go much bigger. LOL!

    That should work.

AFAIK the only things you need to worry about with rim selection for the VX is:

    1. 15" rims could rub on brake calipers so you'd need to select enough offset to avoid that. Rims larger than 15" clear with no problem.

    2. Hub size of 107mm (IIRC) or larger. We are NOT hub centric so the fit is not critical ... as long as it clears.

    3. Need to pick BAD AZZ rims to compliment such an awsome rig.

    4. Oh yah, of course you need to select the right bolt pattern (6 on ??mm spacing).

    5. If you have locking hubs installed, make sure the rim you pick will look OK without the hub cap since you won't be able to use it.

My Isuzu has the same bolt pattern as my H3. I was thinking of staying with chrome cause I like how chrome looks on my VX, plus I have black on my H3. I was debating on some chrome xd rockstars with 265-65-17 nitto terra grapplers (30.5x10.6). I was gonna buy black rockstars for my hummer but then changed my mind cause everybody has the black ones, but not as many have the chrome. That's why I've thought about this. Main reason I'm thinking about this is cause I noticed a little bit of peeling. :-( Not terrible, but noticeable when I'm cleaning them.

mebbe you should start modifying your VX to be a 'clone' of your H3.

Saw a H3 yesterday that almost made me cry (& I'm not that much of an affecianado (sp?)).

It was white & lifted ... that part was OK

... but it had like 24" white wheels ... with rubber bands wrapped around them.

It looked like something that a team of horses should be dragging across the desert (think Conestoga Wagon).
