Rims Powder Coated and 275/65R18 Tires

    Hello all.
I have actually had my Powder Coated Rims and New Tires installed for two months now, but have been busy with life and projects, so I'm just now getting to posting photos.
I had my rims professionally powder coated at a cost of $100/each, which seemed somewhat steep...but the place that did the work has a good reputation, and I am pleased with the result.
The tires I chose are 275/65R18 Cooper Discoverer AT3's. I went with this size after much measuring, searching this forum, and general research.
The look I like is Leveled....not lifted. The 275/65R18's were a good choice for me, since all I had to do to make them fit was Level the Front and do some minimal trimming of the Cladding. Everything is great with no rubbing.
As for the Brand / Series of tire: I chose the Cooper Discoverer AT3 because I am more "Moon Rover" vs "Mud Rider"....more "Baja Racer" than "Swamp Buggy"....kinda prefer the "Mad Max" look, which I believe I achieved going with this all-terrain tread and sidewall design, rather than a mud-terrain tire.
    Following are some photos:

I like the look of the stock rims powder-coated. Makes a person appreciate the timelessness of their basic styling a little more when the chrome isn't getting in the way.

What size are the other tires in the pictures? Just curious for use as further comparison with the size tires I'm considering throwing on my aftermarket 18x8's.

Tires that came off were 255/55-18.
Here are a few more pics with the new 275 tires:

I've been considering doing this myself. Do you mind if I ask how much you where quoted on the powder-coating?

    Following your lead.

Love the look. I'm following your lead on the tire size and getting some Toyo Open Country A/T 2 in the same size with some aftermarket rims. They are going to do a test fit and see if they can make it look. Hoping it looks as good as yours.

I plasti-Dip'd my rims on the Corvette and it turned out awesome! $40 for all four rims (did it on my driveway as overspray just peels off the tires) and I can peel it off anytime, and I can Armor-All it to keep it looking like new.
