Heck ya! Sucks to hear about the VX Run... there should at least be a scheduled "get all the VX's in one spot for a" pic (says the guy with no VX).

Aww man, I guess that means Greg is out too. I'm just gonna have to cancel my trip then... again. And here the whole time, I thought the 3 of us were sharing that room!

I'm getting kind of excited. Just a few weeks to Moab and the crew. I hope the VXers will not shun a non-VX, non-Isuzu entrant. I changed from six lug nuts per wheel to five for this year.

I couldn't see out of it. Didn't know where the trail was. It's hard to show off your prowess when you're really not sure where you are exactly. I joined a 4wd club here in Boise that's mostly jeep oriented. After struggling on a few trails with that group, it became obvious to me that a stock Rubicon was far superior to my modified FJ. Ain't no fool. Done what I had to.

Yeah that's the biggest problem with the FJ IMO...but I don't fit in a Wrangler very well, especially not with a stick. I could probably drive an auto.

One of my co-workers was in Moab this past weekend and stayed at a place that could take the place of the Red Rocks if it ever came to that. It's called "glamping" and it looks like it would be a lot of fun. I wonder if they would give us a good rate if we rented out the whole thing.

Wow! Way Kool! It's like those fancy places you see on an African Safari. Wee bit pricey! but guess I could "settle" for the Safari Tent!
    Dang it's a huge picture....sorry!

Hey Craig! I have an 8-lug Trooper in the works! Hopefully ready for 2015.

Nope. I'm not touching it until we are back from this year's antics. I should probably focus on just getting the '91 and my tow rig ready.

No loud horn on the new rig--no place to hide it.

An 8 lug Trooper? Now you're talking. Can't wait to see it.

I think there needs to be at least one run with ALL the VXs on it. They are rarities and damn fine vehicles besides. The opportunity to display as many of them as possible on the same trail should not be missed and should be photographed extensively. I suggest Hell's Revenge.

I wouldn't have thought 30 to 40 vehicles on a trail was doable, but having just come from Easter Jeep Safari, I can say it is.

Just the 'WTF' value of 20 or so VX's convoying to a trail.....
.....makes it all worth while IMO.

Still makes me tingle after all these years
